A quick and delicious summer dessert: bananas pan-fried in a stainless steel pan with honey, lime, and coconut. Ultra easy, ultra indulgent.

🧾 Ingredients

2 ripe but firm bananas

1 tablespoon of honey

The juice of 1/2 a lime + a little zest

10g of butter or coconut oil

1 tbsp grated coconut (preferably toasted)

(Optional) a little cinnamon or vanilla
👨🍳 Instructions – perfect cooking in a stainless steel pan
🔥 Step 1: Preheating the pan

Heat your stainless steel pan to 2/3 power , empty, for 1 to 2 minutes .

Test with a drop of water: if it forms a rolling ball, it's ready ✅.
🧈 Step 2: Add fats and bananas

Lower the heat slightly. Add the butter (or coconut oil).

Cut the bananas in half lengthwise.

Place them flesh-side down in the hot pan. Do not touch for 2 to 3 minutes → Maillard reaction to caramelize the surface.
🍯 Step 3: Caramelization

Add the honey in a thin stream and the lime juice to the pan.

Gently turn the bananas over, and continue for another 1 to 2 minutes to coat them well.
🥥 Step 4: Finishing

Sprinkle with grated coconut and lime zest just before serving.

Serve warm, plain or with a scoop of coconut or vanilla ice cream.
